Doctors and me…

I never like doctors. I see them not to cure my sickness but for other known evil purposes not purported by any HR managers. Yup, to get a sickie. I am such a good actor that i think i deserve an Oscar. To think that i could actually fool doctors to prescribe me a MC when ever i want.  Well use the techniques at your own peril!

The country is rocked with too much bed-humping scandal, starting with the infamous bed mattress stains to Sodomy I and Sodomy II. The latest, voyeur style  amateurish hidden camera. Its like straight out of the adult industry production house. The latest scene though last for 17 minutes albeit blur -blur image garnered much furor, so much that the nation’s paper, “The people’s paper” dedicated 6-7 pages on the story. I did watch my former Health Minister video, but there wasn’t any oomph, more of a comic relief when he needed to watch “videos” to get it hard.

To teach or not to teach? A Teacher’s Laments…

That was a burning question for me for the past 3 months.  The book “Chicken soup for the soul” has a whole chapter dedicating to the teaching profession, which is the most noblest profession in the world. To spread, share knowledge, enlightening minds is the duty of all teachers. A teacher not only teaches academic fields, he guides and motivates too.  He is a father/ mother figure too for those who have none.  A very noble profession indeed.

So why the burning question? It has been a known fact that a teachers will never be millionaires but the only job where chances to commit a sin is minimal, unless you “slept” with your students! Being a teacher also means helping to fulfill dreams, which at times I wonder why I never walk the talk  myself. “Sir, you crap so much today…why are you still stuck in the teaching profession?”

Well, apart from really obnoxious students who think tormenting teachers are their ideal “fun”, it is a real rewarding experience to hear that how certain word have inspired them to be a better man.  Seriously, I don’t even know what I have spoken to inspire them.  But the feeling that I was responsible for their personal growth and academic success is indeed a reward that no amount of money can substitute. So, being a teacher is not a matter of dollar signs, or is it?

Being the man of the house, one needs to put food on the table. “Emotional rewards” or “feel good rewards” can’t feed hungry mouths.  Sad but true.  The teaching profession for all its noble intentions is not a job that pays well, not even enough for a substantive living. If one is single, it would just be a substantive wage to live by, but with kids growing up, its mission impossible. Across the region, the trend is almost similar.

To teach undergrads, one need to invest in a Master ’s degree, which sadly the cost of pursuing one will never, be recoup. Then again if one views Master’s degree as a personal academic growth, then it’s a different story.  Then again, with a Master’s degree working in MNC, one can recoup the cost in less than 5 years. The crux of it all, the pay difference between a newly graduated students and a lecturer is only a mere few hundred dollars. If he is in the sales profession, the difference will be huge.   So, the next question that lingers on the mind, “what am I doing here?”

I guess the decision to leave the teaching profession came because of the hypocrisy of the Key Performance Index set for all teachers. For starters, I have to ensure 75% passing rate. So when half of the class is made up of really “talented” students, you can kiss your bonus goodbye.  Then we have the student survey score card, where we need to have a min rating of 3.5/5. Yup, students rating determine my performance too. So if half the population of the class is “obnoxious”, it’s time to kiss the bonus goodbye too.  On top of a busy and hectic teaching schedule, I have to take charge of at least one school project, to show that I contribute positively to the college. Not to mention attending trainings conducted by trainers who themselves needed the training badly themselves in the first place.

A part of me still misses the teaching job. When my students did well in the subjects that I taught, I couldn’t help but glow with pride for the rest of the day. Then again, it doesn’t pay the bills.

Is your bonking life killing you?

Ermm… this is a community message, dont flame me k. Some customers who gradually who later on became buddies, kept bugging me with the same thing, is too much harmful? Heck even some of my dear students also asked the same question.

So, when some kind soul forwarded this article to me, might as well share it.  Please take note, the article is not written by me, so please dont plaster me with acquisition of plagiarism .

Gentlemen: Is Your Sex Life Killing You? ? ?

Sex feels good, and the proper amount of sex can help maintain physical and emotional health. But balance is the key. Both having too little or too much sex can lead to unhealthy conditions. Let us look at the effects of too much sex, too little sex, and what the proper amounts should be based on your age and condition.

How Much Sex Is Too Much..?

The theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) warn that a man who engages in too much sex can become what is known as “kidney jing deficient.” Jing is a term that refers to the body’s essential fluids, distilled by the kidneys from what we eat and drink. The kidneys are thought of as the body’s “batteries” and the place where jing is stored. Chinese health theory suggests we are actually equipped with enough jing (life essence) to live 120 years. The problem is we exhaust this essence through poor diet, lack of rest, lack of exercise, the effects of stress, disease and… an unhealthy amount of sex.

Signs and symptoms of kidney jing deficiency include a weakening of the bones, hair loss, a graying of facial colour, loosening or loss of teeth, soreness in the lower back, weakness of the legs (particularly behind the knees), poor memory, loss of libido, impotence and a general lack of sexual desire. If you are suffering from any of these signs and symptoms, perhaps you should consider if too much sex is killing you… or at least weakening you.

With too frequent ejaculation, jing (semen, the essence of pure fluids and life energy) is depleted from the body. Moreover, as a man passes middle age, the excessive loss of jing can cause the disastrous effects described above. Like contact sports, sex is a young man’s game. Middle aged and older men need to retain their jing (semen essence) and ejaculate less frequently. (There is an entire art in Yogic and Taoist traditions of men learning to come to orgasm while not releasing a single drop of semen. (More on this in another article)

Two-thousand years ago Su Nu Jing, the classic text on TCM, was published. It advised how much sex/ejaculations are safe for a man to have. For example, a healthy 20-year-old can ejaculate twice per day with no adverse effects. Also, to maintain proper health, the 20-year-old should have a minimum of one ejaculation every four days.

The following chart suggests the sex guidelines from that classic text:

Of course, these are rough guidelines set forth within the theories of TCM. This gives you an idea of the frequency a man should have sex in order to maintain good health and balanced emotions.

The average 20-year-old male who is engaging in masturbation three times a day is probably overdoing it. This could possibly affect his grades (poor memory) or affect his tennis match (with weak knees and sore low back).

If you are a 40-year-old executive thinking of having that affair with the 24-year old-intern, you might want to consider if you are in good enough health to survive an extramarital affair. You could wind up suffering from hair loss, aging of the face, low back soreness, weak legs, poor memory, loss of libido, impotence and lack of sexual desire that could cost you your career and your health… not to mention your marriage (if applicable).

How Much Sex Is Too Little..?
Keep in mind that no sex at all is unhealthy. Psychologically, it can cause resentment, depression and anxiety. Sex is important for relationships, not just emotionally, but for the organ systems as well. Ladies, when men tell you they feel like they are dying from lack of sex, it’s partially true. In reality, the choked up emotions and lack of connection can cause him to suffer what is known in TCM as liver qi stagnation.

According to TCM theory, the liver functions to move the qi (life energy) freely in the body. So, liver qi stagnation is a pathogenic flow of qi manifesting in some of the following signs and symptoms: feeling of distension in the chest and hypochondrium, sighing, hiccup, melancholy, depression, moodiness, unhappiness and feeling of a lump in the throat. Often the etiology of this syndrome includes emotional problems, a state of anger, frustration and/or resentment.

If this condition persists it can grow into what is called liver fire. The signs and symptoms associated with liver fire include irritability, anger, shouting, ringing in the ears, temporal headache, bitter taste in the mouth, dream disturbed sleep, a red face and red eyes. This is the result of long-standing emotional states of anger, resentment or frustration. This can cause problems like high blood pressure, tinnitus, insomnia, migraine headache and the like.

Good sexual relations are a part of good health. Overdoing it can be detrimental to health, and so can too little of it.
My advice: Be happy and be wise in the ways of lovemaking.

Lovely article, especially the parts that i put in bold. Brilliant excuse for all occasions i would say. They should add, all else fails, use the hand…Lastly, if you are a kind soul, support my baby fund at mickeysmart ya. LOL…

Extreme exam scripts

My hair is graying and my eyes are popping out like gold fish, no thanks to my dear students. I am going to miss teaching soon. If you were to ask me, teaching is the most stressful job. The passing rate, student survey score, preparation of exam scripts, outcome learning…hmmm..no wonder my former lecturers are all but a whack job…sigh..

Was marking exam scripts when my comrades in arms showed me the following scripts. They are too good to give it a miss. These answer scripts are classic masterpiece. It should be framed on the wall in the staff room to remind all teachers that we are here on earth to repay our karmic sins.  A chant mantra should be placed under the frame with the inscribing ” I am a wonderful teacher. I love teaching. I am committed teacher. ”

These are answer scripts for first year degree level for the topic Service Marketing.  The first two scripts are answer for the question, discuss factors that influence customer satisfaction.

He got valid points there though. The college toilet are really a struggle to visit. Hmm…maybe the college should recruit more pretty female students to increase student numbers. Must make a mental note to discuss with my new Academic Head.

The next question asked on characteristics of service marketing.

Hmm… this sounds like a good business plan to open up a coffee shop.  The note below are for our counterpart in UK. Yup, Penang do serve fabulous food which explains my body size.

The next scripts are for the topic understanding consumer. Our dear student here is doing a marketing major in business management. The question asked the student to explain whether the concept of consumer lifestyle is more useful to marketeers or the concept of social class.

Well he is one true blooded marketeer. After all, graphics sell better than words, a picture is worth a thousand words.

Chinese new Year is just next week. I am a lousy artist. There is not a single festive greeting in this blog.  So I am going to pinch just this script to wish everyone Happy Chinese new Year!

Sigh, teaching is such a wonderful job. Am going to miss all the fun soon.
